We are a small business however, experience is worth more than size when understanding the laws and principles of Land Surveying. We pay close attention to scheduling. If we are booked and cannot promptly meet your survey requirements, we would rather recommend another Land Surveyor than create scheduling problems and an unsatisfied client. We are a husband and wife team in the field and at the office. Pamela runs the instrument and the bookkeeping. I manage the field operations and drafting.

My career as a land surveyor began in 1977 giving me over 30 years experience in Land Surveying. I have always enjoyed the science of surveying. In the days when I started, it was also satisfying to be measuring the distances with a steel tape, reading angles on a now primitive transit's vernier scale, and have everything check to be accurate. My experience and training over the years has encompassed many aspects of land surveying including Boundary Surveys, Alta Surveys, Topographic Surveys, Residential Construction and Lot Surveying, Commercial Construction Surveying and several projects for the US Army Corps of Engineers. In 1982 I passed a course based on Brown's Boundary Control & Legal Principals.

In 1998 I became a Registered Arizona Land Surveyor and began work in the office on survey drawings and civil drafting and design.

By 2004 I was a leading civil designer for a local firm. I completed the design for residential subdivisions and created all of the required improvement drawings. My duties also included professional review of all final plats. The economy forced a layoff of most employees including myself. Since that time Advanced Civil Design, PLLC was created. My abilities as a designer, land surveyor and draftsman allow me diversity in acceptable projects. It is easy for me to complete civil and survey drawings with accurate design in a short amount of time.

The principles of a professional land surveyor are based on honesty and integrity. At Advanced Civil Design, we adhere to those principles. I look forward to the opportunity to prove the quality of my business to any new client.
