Land Surveyor - Gila Bend, Arizona

Advanced Civil Design is performing property surveys in the Town of Gila Bend, Arizona located southwest of the Phoenix metropolitan area. The Town of Gila Bend is a small, older community, of less than 2,000 residents. It gets its name from being at the point where the Gila River turns over 90 degrees from a southerly direction toward the west.

As a professional Land Surveyor, at the time of this page development, I have not performed any work in Gila Bend, Arizona. I have done some historical research in the area on a personal level. I have driven the Butterfield Stage route through the mountain pass east of Gila Bend. There was a watering stop for the stage at the west end of the pass. Water was continually hauled from Gila Bend there to provide the water. To the west is Painted Rock Historic Park where there are numerous petroglyphs scattered all over a hill. Another point of interest to the west, along the old stage route, is the site of the Oatman Massacre of 1851.
